Stories From The APL: Clyde

Clyde is a three-year-old black cat who was found abandoned in the APL’s front parking lot.

There was nothing special about Clyde other than the fact that he touched every service area of our shelter. A staff member found him in the parking lot, and when Clyde was given a medical exam, it was determined he had an Upper Respiratory Infection (URI).

Clyde then went to a loving APL Foster Care volunteer family to recover from his “kitty cold.” Soon Clyde was back at the APL looking to find his forever home.

A Girl Scout troop had collected donations for the APL, and on their tour, they heard Clyde’s story. One Girl Scout could not stop talking about Clyde when she got home.

“Clyde’s ending is just phenomenal in my book”

Hear Clyde’s story:

A few days later, she and her family came back to the APL and made Clyde a permanent member of their family!

How can you help the Cleveland APL during our Pledge For Pets Radiothon? You can donate online now, call 216-566-7387 to make a donation by phone, or visit the APL and consider adopting a new member for your family!
